Plan Plan Plan! ( How I spend my Sunday evenings)

If I didn’t plan my week–my whole life would fall apart so every Sunday I spend about two hours sitting in front of RHOA and Desperate Housewives and plan out my blog post ( just started that), weekly menu, make my To Do list and clip/organize my coupons/binder.

planning my coupon trip-- browsing The Krazy Coupon Lady site-

yes– that’s my little M’s sleeping foot :)

clipping and sorting my 20+ inserts from the past weeks

I really shouldn’t let them build up but I do

after clipped and sorted-- then I add to my coupon binder

I love this thing– I take it every time I go to a store– people use to stare but now I see everyone with them

go to The Krazy Coupon Lady for details on how to coupon and how to get your binder set up! ( love  her site)

Then I match whats on KCL and my sales papers and make my store list notice I have an envelope for each store?– it’s easier that way ( but I still take my binder just in case I find another deal)

After I make my coupon list– I usually start on my weekly menu plan– I go through all my pins of recipes from Pinterest, through my favorite cook books and match ups with whatever sale is going on in the sale papers and make my menu
sorry for all the ugly pics but It was at night and I didn’t feel like editing anything

THEN after planning my menu– I go planning my post for the week

Weekly blog planner

and THEN after finishing that up– go into planning my little K’s school lessons for the next week—- sorry no pics– maybe I’ll do a post sometime next week on our homeschooling schedule :)

So there you have it– our week is planned and ready to go — it took about 3 hours but it’s well worth it considering that we have a crazy busy weekly schedule– but honestly…….. nothing prepares you for everyday life experiences so even though I do all this planning– most of the time– It doesn’t go  as planned :)

What do you do to get ready for your week? Please share :)

Day 10 { House & Car First Aid Kits}

Having 4 young kids in the household— there’s always someone with a bo bo running around. So having a fully stocked First Aid kits is a must. I’ve tried purchasing the already packed kind but they never last long because they only give you enough supplies for maybe a small family and that’s not what I have at all! So when Target had a great clearance/mark down on all their First Aid supplies, I combined some coupons that I was saving and cleared the shelves of supplies and made my own kits from scratch.

Some of the supplies

Put everything in two separate containers( Dollar Store for 1.00)

And label— that’s it! The cost of this was less than 12.00 for  both fully stocked kits!

One for the house and one for the car

What’s your BFF(Best Fashion Friend)

So yesterday I was thinking about what to wear to work and realized while looking through my closet that I have a pattern going on. I have tons of jeans, horizontal striped shirts and a butt load of jackets, cardigans and blazers.  So I guess my BFF would be outer wear and scarves. When I’m deciding what to wear I always start with my jeans and then comes stripes and jackets. If I want to bring it up a notch, I throw on a fancy scarf  and bold accessories.

So tell me, What’s you’re BFF (Best Fashion Friend)?

I rock nothing but Mom Jeans- so what?

A lot of moms go to the extreme when trying to find the perfect pair of jeans, either they go super tight to wear the kids are shameful to walk with them or they go super old fashion or straight MOM jean that’s it’s just as embarrassing.

So ladies let me break down the 3 most important things to remember when buying jeans:

  1. FIT: Find YOUR cut– every body type has a different cut, so when trying on jeans  take 1 of each cut to try on.
  2. WASH: Not every color or fade will look right on you, if you don’t know which one to choose go with Dark Denim. It looks good on every one plus it helps you look polished and slim ;)
  3. LENGTH: Please no high waters please! If you’re short and petite but thick in the hips, go one size up and head to the tailors. If you’re tall and slim, make sure your jeans hit right on your shoes but are not so long where they are dragging the floor.

Hey who said that you couldn’t be sexy?

What’s your perfect pair?

Heidi Klum brings a New Balance to mom’s fashion

I would like to say thank you to Heidi Klum for bringing a funky new edge to everyday mom clothes, I call them mom clothes but it’s actually athletic wear. I’m not for sure what gym I would wear them to considering that the price range from 90.00- 150.00 a pop but I would defiantly rock them in the car pool line or on a  Field trip.  I was already a secret BFF with Heidi but  now I might have to get her one of those heart pennants to prove how much I love her for this new collection!

Check it out, isn’t it fabulous?
